2016 Interfaith Benefit Tandem Bicycle Tour of the San Juan Islands

We (Mark and Chris Owings, owners of Tandem Diversity) have made the decision to donate the proceeds from the sale of spots in our 2016 San Juan Islands Tour to Interfaith Coalition here in Whatcom County.

We are very pleased to support Interfaith Coalition and their programs. This is a coalition of local member congregations working together to eliminate homelessness and poverty in Whatcom County. To learn more about Interfaith Coalition go to the
Interfaith Coalition website.

Please contact us via email at mark@tandemdiversity.com if you are interested in signing up for the tour and for any additional information you might need. We will provide you with registration forms and when your registration is completed and your registration fees have been received, we will send a detailed itinerary along with all tour materials.

Thank you for joining us in supporting Interfaith Coalition. We hope you will choose to be one of the pampered couples on our tour!

And for those couples who want to join us on the tour but do not (yet) own a tandem bicycle, a rental tandem and tandem riding lessons will be included free of charge! Now, let's get to the details of our 2016 San Juan Islands Tour - -

Interfaith Benefit San Juan Islands Tandem Bicycle Tour, 2016

A personalized B&B based tandem tour of Washington State's San Juan Islands

August 21 - 27, 2016

Tandem Diversity returns to the San Juan Islands, the gem of Northwest Washington State, for its annual B&B based tandem tour. This is a small, personalized tour in which you will be pampered and looked after carefully as you share the summertime beauty and serenity of these wonderful islands. Traffic is light, folks are friendly, scenery is stunning, and the urge to let go, relax, and soak it all in is irresistible. The tour is limited to three couples.

San Juan Islands 2016

In 2016 we will, for the first time, visit Orcas Island. The riding here can be challenging but the rewards are great, and the van will always be at the ready if the hills are too long.

The tour will begin in Bellingham, Washington on Sunday, August 21, 2016. We will van to Anacortes where we will catch the Washington State Ferry to Lopez Island for a two night stay in a small, picturesque village. After soaking up the relaxed pace of life on Lopez Island we will take the ferry to Orcas Island for a two night stay in an elegant, secluded B&B. Two days of sightseeing, hiking, and riding on Orcas will find us ready for our final island visit - a short ferry ride will take us to San Juan Island for our final two nights, again at a charming, historic B&B. The riding on San Juan is superb and the scenery unrelenting in its beauty. Here we will enjoy wine tasting, whale watching (if the whales will only cooperate), an unforgettable lunch at Roche Harbor, and our farewell dinner together overlooking Friday Harbor.

Final details and pricing are included below.

Come and join us in supporting the very important work of Interfaith Coalition - the islands will wrap you in their magic.
